Our Mission

To provide meaningful employment for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

We believe that there is a place for everyone in the workforce. While we provide employment opportunities, we offer on the job workforce development training for our staff. We strive to help our BEristas gain the necessary skills and confidence to earn a job in our community doing what they are passionate about.

We are located on the East side of Grand Haven at 1103 Washington Ave., Grand Haven, MI 49417. Visit us Monday – Friday, 7:30am – 3:30pm, and Saturday, 8:00am – 2:00pm.

BE a Recurring Donor & Help Kenzie’s Break Even!

Kenzie’s Be Cafe is looking for 100 people to donate $20/month as a recurring donor. We are currently at 65 recurring donors. Please consider becoming a donor!

 These funds will help Kenzie’s break even freeing up more time for job skills training. In addition, Kenzie’s Be could use the help of a fund development person and an administrative assistant. If we could raise the funds needed to cover the cost of these positions, we estimate, at a minimum, we could double our impact through job opportunities.

Kenzington High Tea

April 26th, 2:30-4:00pm, $28/per person

Our next Kenzington High Tea is scheduled for April 26th, 2:30-4:00pm. We will supply the coffee, tea and treats you bring the conversation and laughter. Enjoy an authentic high tea experience served by our BEristas and management staff. Most of our tables seat 4 people. You could be sat with new friends in order for us to fill all the available seats.

2nd Annual Putt Putt Pro-am

Play a round of Putt Putt and support Kenzie's Be Cafe

May 22nd is our 2nd Annual Putt Putt Pro-am at ChinookPier Putt-Putt golf course, 3-7pm! This event will be fun, it will test the putting skills of our participants, but overall, it will be inclusive! Event Details: Teams of 2 will take on our 18-hole course with a shot gun start at 3:30pm and 5:00pm. There will be challenge holes, games to play, and even PGA Pros available to lend a helping hand. Food will be provided to golfers, and a cash bar will be available.

Sponsorship: We are hoping to raise $15,000 at this event, which will provide 1,000 hours of on-the-job training. Sponsorships start at $100 and most come with golf entries.
