Make A Difference

Kenzie’s Be Cafe is a special place that is making a real difference in our community. We are committed to providing meaningful employment, job skills training, and life skills training to those who face barriers to employment. Our goal is to help our BEristas develop the skills and confidence they need to succeed in the workforce and in their personal lives. By supporting our mission, you can make a positive impact on the lives of those in our community who need it most.

We believe that there is a place for everyone in the workforce, regardless of their background, experience, or challenges. By providing a supportive and inclusive environment, we are giving our BEristas the opportunity to thrive and build a better future for themselves and their families. Your donation will go directly to supporting our programs and initiatives, including training and education, job placement assistance, and ongoing support and resources for our BEristas. With your help, we can continue to empower and uplift those in our community who are most in need.

By donating to Kenzie’s Be Cafe, you are not only helping us provide meaningful employment and training to our BEristas, but you are also helping to build a more inclusive and supportive community for all. Your support is crucial to our success, and we are deeply grateful for any contribution you can make. Together, we can make a real difference in the lives of those who need it most, and create a brighter future for our entire community.

Kenzie’s Be Cafe is partnering with Artists Creating Together (ACT) to bring their Creative Cube to Grand Haven to provide a morning of art and music activities to people with and without disabilities this Summer. The Creative Cube is an accessible mobile studio that brings the arts into every corner of our community. The Cube is out-fitted with supplies for up to 500 people. We are doing this in response to the free ride day for people with disabilities at the coast guard festival not happening this summer. We hope that this event will be something for people to look forward to just like they did the CG event.
Event Date: August 12th, 10-1. In the parking lot of the Spotlight Dance Studio building, 1445 Columbus Ave., Grand Haven, MI 49417. This is the same day as Walk The Beat, so following your morning of art you are welcome to join in all the music happening on Beechtree from 1-5!

Event Cost: Our goal is to make this a free event to everyone who will participate that day. In order to bring the Creative Cube to Grand Haven we need both financial and volunteer help. We estimate the total cost for the event to be $4,000, and will need approximately 20 volunteers. Anyone who donates $25 or more will be recognized at the event. We appreciate our community support so much, and hope to bring a day of art and joy to all.

General Donation

Every Bit Helps!

Accepting Donations of Any Size
Kenzie’s Be Cafe is a nonprofit organization that is dedicated to providing meaningful employment for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Our mission is to help these individuals develop job skills and life skills so that they can find employment not only within our cafe, but also within our community.

We believe that everyone has a place in the workforce, and that with the right training and support, individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities can thrive in a work environment. That’s why we’re committed to providing a safe and welcoming space where our “BEristas” can learn and grow.

But we can’t do this work alone. We need the support of our community to help us provide opportunities for these individuals to reach their full potential. That’s why we’re asking for your help.

We’re asking for a general donation, whatever you can afford, to support our mission. Your donation will go directly towards providing job training, life skills training, and meaningful employment opportunities for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

With your support, we can create a place of acceptance and inclusion for all people in our community. We can help individuals with disabilities find purpose, importance, and a sense of belonging in the workforce.

Together, we can make a difference in the lives of these individuals and in our community as a whole.
